Choice Cleaning Services Steam Cleaned Carpet 1

Steam Cleaning

Steam cleaning, also known as hot water extraction, is a carpet cleaning method that is also known as restoration cleaning. Firstly, a thorough vacuum is essential to remove loose debris and dry dust particles which make up 80% of the soiling in your carpets. This is followed with pre-spotting if needed on severe staining and then you spray the appropriate cleaning pre-spray which is your main cleaning agent. I personally agitate the pre-spray into the carpet prior to extraction which vastly improves the overall result. Then with your truck mounted steam cleaning machine or portable extractor you jet hot water into the carpet fibres and then suck the dirt out along with most of the moisture. The last step is to groom the carpet to align the fibres if necessary. When done correctly, regular vacuuming along with steam cleaning can lengthen the life and improve the overall look, feel and smell of your carpets.

Choice Cleaning Services Encapsulation Cleaning 1

Encapsulation Cleaning

Encapsulation cleaning is a low-moisture carpet cleaning method that uses a special encapsulating polymer to surround the dirt & separate it from the carpet fibre. After 24 hours it is then subsequently vacuumed off along with the encapsulated dirt. The first step is again a though vacuum to remove all the dry soiling, remember 80% of dirt in your carpets are the dry type. The Encapsulating fluid can be applied using a counter-rotating brush as shown in photo, rotary machine, a compression sprayer, or a brush applicator. The encapsulating cleaner features polymers that encapsulate and crystallize the stains and dirt for vacuum removal after 24 hours. These polymers hold the dirt and soil in suspension to be vacuumed out leaving no sticky residue and providing a great interim clean in between the major steam cleaning. Encapsulation cleaning provides a great alternative clean with quick drying times which can be ideal for situations like workplaces, retirement homes & hospitals etc where the carpet is being continually used.

Pet Stain and Odour Removal

Pet stain and odour removal is a specialised service that requires the correct equipment, chemicals, and experience. After your dog urinates on the carpet and it dries out, you will be left with the Uric crystals. This is where the Urine Ammonia smell comes from especially on a humid day as the crystals suck in the moisture and out gas the Ammonia smell. URINE LOVES MOISTURE. Firstly, you need to identify the source and extent of the pet urine contamination using a Black light and moisture detectors as the Uric crystals are always wet. They need to be completely flushed out from the carpet, underlay, and the subfloor whether it be concrete or wood. Remembering that concrete and wood are a very porous and that odour will leech into it. You must flood the affected areas with the correct product, so it reaches right down to the subfloor and then let it dwell for 30 minutes or so. Next, using a Water claw, which is a subfloor extraction tool, you stand on it and using the suction from the machine you suck out all the urine from the subfloor along with the stain. If this happens on a Wool carpet and is left for a period, the chemical PH level which should be around PH 7 keeps rising and when it reaches PH 10 and above it will chemically burn the Wool fibres permanently. You will be left with a permanent yellow stain.
